Let IVJ help you learn more about empaths. This is very important to me because I am one. I would love to help educate other people about empaths. As the term empath has only recently been becoming more of a popular term. And educating yourself as an empath is very helpful. It can help explain a lot of things that have happened in your life. I know when I first heard about the term and started actually doing research about it, my whole life actually started to make sense for the first time in 30+ years.
Is empath a real term?
What are Empaths? Empaths are highly sensitive individuals, who have a keen ability to sense what people around them are thinking and feeling. Psychologists may use the term empath to describe a person that experiences a great deal of empathy, often to the point of taking on the pain of others at their own expense.

Some babies enter the world with more sensitivity than others—an inborn temperament. You can see it when they come out of the womb. They're much more responsive to light, smells, touch, movement, temperature, and sound. These infants seem to be empaths from the start.
- Empaths are highly sensitive.
- Empaths absorb other people's emotions.
- Many empaths are introverted.
- Empaths are highly intuitive.
- Empaths need alone time.
- Empaths can become overwhelmed in intimate relationships.
- Empaths are targets for energy vampires.
- Empaths become replenished in nature.
Are empaths born or made?

They're much more responsive to light, smells, touch, movement, temperature, and sound. These infants seem to be empaths from the start. I have done a lot of research about this question. It's the simple age old question of nature vs. nurture. And my conclusion on the matter is that they can be both. Either born into this world as such, or a product of their environment.
This blog is only touching base on all the information that there is out there about empaths. Just basically giving you a glimpse into everything that there is to learn.

There are also many different online self assessment quizzes that are available to help you determine if you truly are an empath or not. And even more that can help you determine what kind of empath you are as well. I find anything related to Dr. Judith Orloff M.D. is beneficial to any empath. She is a doctor who has based her profession solely on Empaths and helping them. I have also read a few of her books that have helped me in the past. She is a phenomenal person who dedicated her life to helping Empaths.
